Draw online with pen pressure
Paint Studio reads the pressure of your stylus or drawing tablet straight from the browser, so lines get thicker as you press harder — no app or driver plug-in required.

With the Brush or Eraser selected, the Pressure button in the options bar makes the stroke width follow how hard you press, from a thin line to the full brush size. Turn it off for even, constant-width strokes.
Pressure works wherever your browser reports pen pressure — for example a pen on a Windows tablet, a drawing tablet on a desktop computer, or Apple Pencil on iPad. A mouse always draws at full size.
Settings that make drawing easier
- Smoothing (0–100%) steadies shaky lines by letting the stroke trail slightly behind the pen.
- Symmetry mirrors every stroke across the middle of the canvas — great for faces, logos and mandalas.
- Size and opacity sliders, plus [ and ] to change brush size quickly.
- Pinch to zoom on touch screens, Ctrl/⌘ + scroll on a trackpad, and Space + drag to pan.
- Alt + click with a painting tool to pick up a colour from your drawing.
Getting set up
- Open Paint Studio in your browser and choose the Brush (B).
- Check that Pressure is switched on in the options bar.
- Set the brush size to the widest line you want; light pressure will draw thinner.
- Adjust Smoothing until lines feel steady but still responsive.
- On a phone or small tablet, open the side panel with the panel button for colours and layers.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. Paint Studio runs in your browser; pen pressure comes from the browser itself.
Why does my pen draw at one width?
Check that Pressure is turned on, and that your browser and tablet driver report pressure. Mice and some styluses do not send pressure, so they draw at full size.
Can I use layers with my tablet?
Yes. Everything in Paint Studio — layers, blend modes, selections and exports — works with a pen, mouse or touch.
